Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Calcium Carbonate Suspension - Justraft Suspension contains three medicines: Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Calcium Carbonate. It is used to help treat heartburn and indigestion. Calcium carbonate is a medicine that helps reduce stomach acidity. Sodium alginate becomes a thick gel when it mixes with stomach acid. This gel lies on top of what’s in the stomach and helps stop acid from coming back up. Sodium bicarbonate is a type of antacid that has a basic (alkaline) nature. This helps balance out the acidity in the stomach.
