    Allylestrenol prevents premature labour. Premature labour may begin at less than 37 completed weeks of pregnancy and may result from premature rupture of membranes, pregnancy-induced hypertension (pre-eclampsia), and poor nutrition. Miscarriage refers to an unplanned loss of pregnancy at less than 20 weeks of pregnancy. It occurs primarily during the first trimester, or the first three months, of the pregnancy.

    Allylestrenol has "Allylestrenol", a progestin (female sex hormones) that acts through adjustment of the immune response of the pregnant women to avoid rejection of the embryo and permits its implantation into the uterus and enhance blood supply to the placenta.
